SpokenWord App & 30 Day Schedule

This morning I realized that I will be finishing my 30 days and start over tomorrow with Genesis. Tomorrow is the 30th. After my brother passed away during my masters, I one day asked the Lord what I could do to work through his death. His answer came sweet and simple and it carried me while I did this for 5 months without a break. Joshua 1:8 Principle "you shall meditate on this Book day & night" It was during the 4th round that God started showing me scriptures I have never "seen" before. I read alongside this App: SpokenWord I mostly choose 7AM & 7PM This is not for slow meditation & praying of scriptures. It is simply refreshing my memory of scripture. You choose your pace. I landed on the doorstep of heaven... heard of Wilbur Smith? Of course you have.

No, I did not make it back to Kempton Park. This is the story. Penny sent me a clip of the 'war' sirens going off at 7am in Jordan. It was horrible to listen to, to say the least. It was the same day I moved to the front gates of paradise. I sent her a photo and cried while I told her where I would be staying for a few months - life is not fair and it felt wrong to be on this doorstep while so many are stuck in small spaces using "oil to jog in the kitchen." (you've seen those clips by now) How did I end here in order to take this picture where the 'Boesman' is walking down the river? (We call the mist over the river the Bushman walking) I was packing my car to move from my brother's house

UK Cancelled. Babel causing a new wave!

Three days ago I asked for prayer in regards to the UK gathering in May. Finally we heard that this is cancelled too. I am very sad about the cancellation of this gathering but we will come together in October in SA. I am relieved on the financial side of things cause raising funds for this seemed like a mountain. YWAM bases are canceling many meetings, losing international students etc... It is super sad to hear about some things that is going on due to the virus. A MOVEMENT IN FAST FORWARD MODE Is this virus strangely placing ywam in "fast-forward" mode... I think we might see this sad situation through different eyes in two years. I wonder, through the chaos of our world's complex syste

UK meetings cancelled and The Babel scattering

Dear friends, Two days ago I finally wrote my monthly update and it still seemed that I had to go ahead with my visa online, on-time - application. Today, Friday 13th, it was cancelled. Thanks for those who did pray. Many of our Ywam’ers and bases are in a bit of a spot! You can imagine how many tickets were bought for outreach and lecture phase travels - 1000’s! I am grateful that I waited! For my YWAM family, I observe the end of momentum of the previous season / wave, into the building of the new seasonal momentum / wave. In some ways... the Tower of Babel comes to my mind and I wonder - through the chaos of our world’s complex system and the unpredictability of what is happening, if Go

Staffing MA 2020-23

I am writing this newsletter from the Western Cape! I just got back from Cape Town were our first gathering of the Masters cohort took place. At the end of last year God spoke to me one morning and simply said: "you are suppose to be staffing this 2020-23 Masters" Our next gathering for lectures will be in the UK in May. I am in the process of applying for the "business visa " - yes, I am also waiting to see what will take place with the Corona situation. Nothing can be assumed right now but our meeting have not been canceled so far. I also don't take flying to the UK lightly. 100% of the times I have flown into the UK, they took me aside for questioning. One time they took me aside for 3 h
