Pak!stan! Ending 2024 on a high

I was having my quiet time, not really thinking about 2025 when suddenly I saw myself on a boat with Jesus. He started speaking to me, saying: “I’ve placed you in this boat. I have given you a net. In 2025, launch into the deep for a catch.”

I saw what I had to catch and I realized why He said “THE DEEP” It will require double efforts and the willingness to take much greater risks. I will need to walk in the faith that Hebrews 11:1 speaks about, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, and I cannot do it alone. This was quite clear in the boat.

We also now have an ongoing presence in India, helped our community monthly in our beautiful backyard, and started a new intercession group for the unreached in Stilbaai.

PAKISTAN UPDATE

8 Nov I heard a knock on my door... Hi! My name is Jay and I heard about the Sandboxbibles. We spoke for a while and were nearly done when he said -

"I might go to Pakistan beginning 2025"

... I stood there stunned! I immediately wrote my Pakistani contact in the photo above and he was so happy. My contact kept asking me WEEKLY when I was coming to Pakistan! Our constant prayer in this URstory building is “God, bring people into this building - connect us.” And He is so good at just that!

When I left all social media for two years, this was my prayer.”God, I want real people, real time, real relationships” He connected me with so many at home and internationally since that time. It was truly all supernatural. Only a personal relationship with Trinity, co- working with Him daily, not looking to people but HIM ALONE, can make this happen. This miracle was reflected in the way finance came in, in 2025. $500 per month could not take me to the nations, pay rent, electricity, food, petrol... GOD DID IT AGAIN. Proverbially speaking, like the manna in the desert, I received the double on Sundays when I could not pick up food for “the day”. Praise God.

I would like to leave a personal Bible Study method with you for this Christmas season.

A. Find a place where you know you will read every day. Make it the same place or chair. Keep your Bible, diary and pens close.

B. Read the given passage slowly.

C. Take your Bible-Prayer-Diary and answer the following questions:

Start by writing:

1. This passage is saying that...

2. The Key word, verse or concept for me is...

3. The implication is ...

4. It reveals about God that He ...

5. It reveals about people that they ...

6. Based on what I have read, I should live my life...

D. Imagine Jesus with you and He says (start by writing) "I can see you. I hear how you are saying to yourself...""I want you to know..."

E. Pray - Talk to God. He is a Person and right there with you.

1. Praise God & Thank Him for 5 things. (PS100:4) This is how we enter.

If you struggle, focus on the names of God and pray this back to Him.

2. Clean your heart (Is there any thought or sin that hinders you?)

3. For a few minutes, lay down your own ideas about what to pray.

Ask Holy Spirit to bring things to your mind and heart.

4. Watch what He shows you. Pray about it.

5. Now bring your own prayer request to Him.

6. Thank God.

WHY SPONSOR

YWAM is called to practice a life of dependence on God for financial provision. This comes primarily through people who believe in us and what we’re doing.  We give of our time and talents to serve God and others with no formal agreement  or expectation of financial remuneration. Some people wonder why we would choose this lifestyle over the traditional method of receiving a salary.

 

Here are the reasons why:

In the early years of YWAM, our founders, Loren and Darlene Cunningham,  endeavored to hire a secretary and pay her a salary. But after prayer and careful consideration,  they were strongly impressed that this was not God’s plan for YWAM. They felt instead, that she was to partner with others for her financial provision in the same way that they did.

Fifty years later we see God’s wisdom in how He led them: 

1.The Growth Factor: Because there is no corporate office that controls the flow of finances,  YWAM has grown into the largest international, interdenominational missions organization in the world today.2. Every YWAM worker is surrounded by people who are supporting them and praying for them on a  regular basis. If, five decades ago, Loren and Darlene had decided on a corporate model, with finances  being funneled through one central headquarters, YWAM probably would have remained relatively small  with a significant portion of our income going to support the organization itself, rather than the missionaries on the field.
