Dear friends,
Two days ago I finally wrote my monthly update and it still seemed that I had to go ahead with my visa online, on-time - application.
Today, Friday 13th, it was cancelled.
Thanks for those who did pray. Many of our Ywam’ers and bases are in a bit of a spot! You can imagine how many tickets were bought for outreach and lecture phase travels - 1000’s!
I am grateful that I waited!
For my YWAM family, I observe the end of momentum of the previous season / wave, into the building of the new seasonal momentum / wave.
In some ways... the Tower of Babel comes to my mind and I wonder - through the chaos of our world’s complex system and the unpredictability of what is happening, if God is not going to use it for our good, using this scattering from our existing structures to call forth new leaders, new ties, new relations, new circles, that somehow through momentum of the years could not happen.
Sometimes new things can only come when the old momentum is lost.
Through the sadness of it all, a new “coming together” among our own in our nations might become the platform for a renewed sense of prayer, digging old wells and seeing others around us with new eyes.
We might be confronted with our invisible towers!
We might be confronted with the amount of leaning towards “other nations” and “good speakers” we had.
New ministries, new initiatives, new circles with new leadership will take place so that the momentum - a new wave building for the next season can take place without the interference of the old momentum. It truly is the end of a long season of momentum.
A new wave in the background is rising high.
Do... please do pray for YWAM and it’s university (UofN). Keep the leaders and students before the Lord in prayer. The Lord’s prayer has helped me a lot this last week as I kept holding our leaders up to Him.
ABBA Father, Let Your Kingdom come!
Let Your will be done!
Here we are - we said yes to Your call
Now lead and guide us in this season of global scattering!
